Its Evening now…. There was snow today… Instead of it being “annoying”, or an “inconvience”, I was able to enjoy the simple beauty of it ~ The contrast between the black of the branches and pristine white makes a stunning picture.
“Time is money”
Rushing here, and running there- Always late, or worried that you’ll be late. The sun might be shiny outside, and there could be a sweet breeze blowing, but was anyone able to notice it? Did you forget that besides the cars, and trucks, belching exhaust fumes and beeping their horns, there are people everywhere. Doing the same as you. We are only as alone as we make ourselves. Where is it that we are trying to get to at such a fast pace, that we miss out on all of the glories of life. Half the time, I feel like I’m drifting along, and everything is flying past at breakneck speeds. I reach out to try and grab on, even just to touch, and I miss. I can feel the breeze against my fintertips, as my hands close around.. Air. Emptiness in the palm of my hand.
Am I just standing still? Watching life like its a movie? Sometimes I wonder.
Simple enjoyments…..It IS the small things that please me the most, the simple pleasures.
